A Nigerian Lady identified as Funmi Oyatogun has asked a financial brand, Cowrywise to refund her money.

Funmi said she is not in the habit of dragging out brands neither does she like to rubbish the name of any brand but she is forced to do so because, cowrywise has not paid back some millions that was made away from her account on the platform.

According to Funmi, she was a happy customer until she got money stolen from her account, rather than repay her, she started getting horrible treatment.

She wrote, ”The biggest lesson I learned this year is that everybody treats you nicely because of what they get from you.

”For years, I was a happy customer. Then my money got stolen and horrible treatment was received.

”It is one thing that my money was insecure. Note, following my incident and at my recommendation, Cowrywise has since disabled external transfers on Stash.

”It is another thing that the leadership does not prioritize reimbursements of obvious theft and then chasing the back end.

”I hate this so much. It took me months to finally do this. I simply want my money back. In the middle of a pandemic. From a company I trusted so much, that I had a personal account, business account, and I usually told every everybody about them.

She noted that the only thing she wants is a refund from the brand and does not think they are fraud.

”I’m sorry. I am very sorry. I just want my hard-earned Naira. Also, I don’t think Cowrywise is a fraud. Far from it. What I know is that my money was stolen from their platform and they did not refund it to me, months later. Instead, they are still working on it,” she said.
