The House of Representatives is working to strengthen Nigeria-South Korea relations, according to Hon. Kolawole Akinlayo, the newly appointed Chairman of the Nigeria-South Korea Friendship Group Committee.
Hon. Kolawole Akinlayo announced plans to meet with the South Korean Ambassador to Nigeria next week to discuss strengthening bilateral ties.
He also called for a peaceful resolution to South Korea’s political crisis and thanked Speaker Dr. Tajudeen Abass for trusting him to lead the Friendship Group Committee.
During Wednesday’s plenary, Speaker Abbas called the creation of the Friendship Groups a key promise of the 10th Assembly.
He urged South Koreans to embrace peace, avoid violence, respect the rule of law, and allow the President to perform his duties for the country’s stability.
