Nigerian Man Brutalized By Residents For Stealing Generator

A yet-to-be identified young man has been beaten and brutalized by residents in South East Nigeria for stealing.

The man was caught red-handed stealing a new and expensive generator belonging to a store owner.

The store owner identified as Godwin raised an alarm and the whole community came out to nab the thief.

Asides beating him black and blue, he was made to carry the heavy generator on his head as punishment for the criminal act.

When asked, the young man said he committed the act as a result of the lockdown because he had no money on him.

Some residents wondered how a full grown man, (someone’s son, another’s husband) could do such a thing.

Others attributed it to a spell because a man of such could not steal a mere generator.
