Nigerians Drag Femi Adesina On Social Media Over Comments On Insecurity
Nigerians are currently setting social media ablaze in denunciation of President Muhammadu Buhari’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina following the Spokesperson’s comments in a television interview.
Adesina was reacting to the nation’s current insecurity crisis in an interview on Channels Television, where he told Nigerians to be thankful that they are not experiencing incidents of bomb blasts everyday.
He also recalled that there was a time when Nigeria had high frequency of bomb blasts, compared to the current state of affairs.

“There was a time in this country when bombs went off like firecrackers everyday. There could be five, six bombings in one day. Let’s be thankful for small mercies” Adesina said during the interview.
Nigerians have now taken to social media to lambaste the President’s Spokesperson for choosing to play the comparison card instead of coming to terms with the festered state of security in the country.

According to Femi Adesina, we should be thankful for 2-3 bombings per week because in the past, bombings were a daily affair.

Anytime I see Femi Adesina’s head, I know he is about to compare bombing and beheading. Also about to compare 10 killed under GEJ and 9 killed under Buhari. That is progress to Femi.pic.twitter.com/rj9uctmfI8
