NIJ Appoints Tolulope Ojemuyiwa PRO

• NIJ appoints Tolulope Ojemuyiwa as Public Relations Officer.

Ekohotblog reports that the Nigerian Institute of Journalism, Ogba-Ikeja, Lagos has appointed Mr Tolulope Ojemuyiwa as the institution’s Public Relations Officer.

Ojemuyiwa, who until the appointment was a lecturer in the Department of Mass Communication, also doubled as the institution’s sports Director.

In a statement signed by the Registrar of the Institution, Mrs Patricia Kalesanwo, and made available to Ekohotblog it stated that the appointment was effective immediately.

A seasoned Journalist, Ojemuyiwa, a graduate of Mass Communication is a member of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) and Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR). He started his journalism career with Independent Communication Network Limited (ICNL), Lagos.

The statement indicated that his appointment was contained in a letter dated 7th October 2021.

The statement read, “As the Public Relations Officer of the institution you are to: establish, promote and maintain favourable relationship between the institution and the general public; attend to media and public relations matters as they affect the institution; and perform any other assigned duties.

“The Academic Board hopes you will justify the confidence reposed on you.

“Your appointment is for a term of two years, which is renewable.”

The NIJ is Nigeria’s Premier Monotechnic, established in 1971.
