NLC To Go Ahead With Nationwide Protest After FG Shelved Fuel Subsidy Removal Plans

  • The NLC leadership recently kicked against the proposed increase in the price of petrol

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) insists its planned nationwide protest on Thursday, January 27, 2022 will hold as scheduled despite an announcement by the Federal Government that its plan to remove fuel subsidy has been halted.

The NLC had urged the 36 state governors to demand the withdrawal of the removal of the fuel subsidy scheduled for June, saying the plan to remove fuel subsidy was a transfer of government failure and inability to effectively govern the country.
