Nnamdi Kanu Drags Kenyan Government To Court On His Repatriation
- Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has dragged the Kenyan Government to court over their role in his repatriation to Nigeria.
Kanu instituted a legal case against the Kenyan Government through his legal team, EkohotBlog reports.
The Special Counsel to the IPOB leader, Aloy Ejimakor, confirmed this in a tweet on his Twitter handle on Thursday.
He wrote “UPDATE: Extraordinary Rendition: Onyendu’s legal team has filed a suit in Kenya against the Kenyan government.
Kanu was recently rearrested in Kenya and repatriated to Nigeria.
The Kenyan High Commissioner, Wilfred Machage, debunked the allegation that Kenyan police arrested Kanu.
Despite the consistent refuting, IPOB continues to accuse Kenya of complicit in Kanu’s rearrest by Nigerian government.
Kanu is expected in court in October. The Nigerian government primarily charged him with treason.
