Kingsley Kanu, brother to the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has disclosed how Nnamdi Kanu was arrested in Kenya.
Speaking in an interview with UK Guardian, Kingsley disclosed that Nnamdi Kanu was nabbed while taking a walk in Kenya.
EKO HOT BLOG recalls that the Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, had last month refused to disclose the location where the IPOB leader was arrested.
However, Nnamdi Kanu’s brother, who said he spoke with the IPOB leader before his arrest, disclosed that his brother was nabbed in Kenya from where he was moved to Abuja.
He said, “His UK passport remains in Kenya.
“I spoke to him on the phone, he was well, in Nairobi. His associates said he went out, he didn’t take his documents with him; so he wasn’t planning on going anywhere. Then, all of a sudden, we see him paraded in handcuffs in Abuja.
“It is an extraordinary rendition, aided by Kenyan authorities. It is an outrage that cannot be allowed to happen.

“We are holding the Nigerian government and Kenyan government responsible. The British government, they know what is happening,” Nnamdi Kanu’s brother stated.
Kingsley added that UK officials had made contact with Kanu’s family and legal team, adding that there were concerns the IPOB leader would be abused in detention.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that Nnamdi Kanu was standing trial for treason in Nigeria before he jumped bail.
Kenyan authorities have, however, denied involvement in the arrest of the IPOB leader.
