Fuel Scarcity: NNPCl Gives Reasons

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPC Ltd has explained the reasons behind the fuel scarcity in Lagos and the Capital wishes to state that the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

In a statement by the company’s Chief Corporate Communication Officer, Mr. Olufemi Soneye, the tightness in fuel supply and distribution witnessed in some parts of Lagos and the FCT is as a result of a hitch in the discharge operations of a couple of vessels.

It said that the company is working round the clock with all stakeholders to resolve the situation and restore normalcy in the operations.

Many petrol stations have shut down in the last 48 hours while a few that sell had jacked up the pump price to about N800 per litre.
