NNPCL Denies Selling Employment Slots, Warns Against Fraud
The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Ltd (NNPCL) has firmly denied rumors that it is selling employment slots to Nigerians.
In a statement released on Saturday by its Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Olufemi Soneye, the company described these rumors as the work of fraudsters attempting to take advantage of unsuspecting job seekers.
NNPCL made it clear that there is no truth to the claims that employment slots are being offered for sale.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the company urged Nigerians to disregard such false information and to be cautious of any individuals or groups making such offers.
The statement reads: “The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Ltd. (NNPC Ltd.) has called on members of the public, especially jobseekers, to discountenance rumors of employment slots for sale.
The company states that there is no iota of truth in the insinuations that it has employment slots on offer to anyone who wishes to buy, describing such as antics of fraudsters who want to take advantage of unsuspecting applicants.”
NNPCL emphasized that as a responsible corporate entity, its recruitment process is straightforward, transparent, and does not involve the sale of slots or any form of inducement.
The company warned that anyone who pays money to secure a job in the organization does so at their own risk, reiterating that such actions will not result in employment.
