The presiding judge over the case, Justice Usman Na’aana of the State High Court in Kano has on Tuesday granted a temporary ruling refraining the founder of the party, Boniface Aniebonam and acting chairman of the party, Agbo Major and 16 other respondents from taking further steps in the suspension until another court hearing.
The group had announced the suspension of Kwankwanso, for six months during its general assembly meeting held in Lagos on August 29, for hobnobbing with the incumbent president, Bola Tinubu, People’s Democratic Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar and the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
The party through its Board of Trustees comprising Boniface Aniebonam, Agbo Major and party chieftains said the Leader violated the party’s constitution.
Other violation read at the meeting was financial impropriety relating to the mismanagement of public funds.

However, the Kano court has ruled that the plaintiffs should desist from parading themselves as party officials until another court hearing on October 5, 2023.
