A Senatorial candidate of the NNPP in Zamfara has dumped the party and joined APC.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) Senatorial candidate for Zamfara North Senatorial District, Ibrahim Shinkafi, has dumped the party for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Shinkafi was among the politicians who defected to APC in the state on Monday, December 26, 2022.

It was revealed that the defectors include former members of the NNPP and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). They were all received yesterday by the former Governor and Chairman of the APC governorship campaign council in the state, Abdulaziz Yari.
In a statement made available to journalists, Yari’s spokesperson, Dahiru Mafara said the defectors include, House of Representatives candidate, Shinkafi and Zurmi Constituency, Suleiman Garba.
Also on the defection list is the State Treasurer, Kaura-Namoda and Zurmi Local Governments NNPP Chairmen, Suleiman Galadi.
Others include the Coordinator of a Foundation for PDP governorship campaign, Aminu Kanoma, as well as the Secretary and Treasurer, Aminu Saminu and Hajiya Umulkhairi Aminu.
Yari was represented by the Chairman, Contact and Mobilisation Sub-committee of the council, Musa Zubairu.
