EKO HOT BLOG reports that this comes more than two days after the Federal High Court granted bail to the controversial artist.
Speed Darlington, who was arrested on November 27 for allegedly cyberstalking Grammy award-winning artist Burna Boy, has been in police detention for over a month.
Despite the court’s ruling granting him bail on Monday, his continued detention has sparked criticism from his legal team and supporters.

In an Instagram post on Thursday, Alieke expressed frustration over the situation, revealing that he had exhausted his connections in Abuja, but no one was willing to assist, citing Speed Darlington’s past actions.
He condemned the police for ignoring the court’s directive, which mandated they either release or arraign Speed Darlington within 48 hours.
Alieke stated, “We’ve done everything a lawyer should do to secure his release. I’ve reached out to my political connections, but people are avoiding this case, saying ‘Akpi got what was coming to him.’
This is nonsense. Imagine your brother being detained for over a month for allegedly insulting someone, and people are celebrating his detention.”
He also criticized the police for failing to comply with the court order, emphasizing that Speed Darlington has spent Christmas in detention despite the legal ruling.
