No Partey For Arsenal As Tough End Of The Season Set To Face The Gunners

EKO HOT BLOG reports that Arsenal has been hit with an injury blow ahead of their match against Manchester City on Wednesday night as midfielder Thomas Partey will not be in the squad due to a muscular injury.

The 29-year-old, who has started 18 of Arsenal’s 21 matches in the Premier League this season and scored twice, trained with the squad on Tuesday, but he is expected to miss the upcoming fixture at the Emirates.

Partey’s absence is a significant setback for Arsenal, who will now need to find a way to cope without the influential midfielder.

The Gunners are currently sitting three points ahead of Manchester City in the Premier League table but know that they will be usurped at the top should Pep Guardiola’s men secure a victory over them.

The Athletic reports that Jorginho, who was signed from Chelsea on transfer deadline day, could be brought in to replace Partey in the starting lineup.

The Italian international has not featured in any of Arsenal’s last three matches, but with Partey now unavailable, he may be given a chance to showcase his abilities.

Despite Partey’s injury, Arsenal will be looking to put in a strong performance against Manchester City and secure a vital win in their quest for a top-four finish.

The Gunners have been in good form in recent weeks, winning four of their last five Premier League matches, and will be keen to continue their impressive run of results.

The match against Manchester City promises to be a closely contested affair, with both sides eager to come out on top.
