No Records Of Violence, Vandalism In Epe Community, Atmosphere Peaceful During And After EndSars Protest- DPO

Sp. Agidi Adenola, Divisional Police Officer, (DPO), Eredo unit, in Epe Division, has applauded Epe youths for maintaining a peaceful atmosphere during and after the “EndSARS protests.
Adenola made the commendation in an interview with Eko Hot Blog in Epe, on Monday.
He urged the youths to continue in that teaming spirit of orderliness.
Adenola appealed to the youths to refrain from vandalizing government properties and breaching of peace in the society.

According to him, It is unlawful to vandalize properties in the name of protests, which is a punishable offense.
He, therefore, warned youths in the community to desist from having a plan to vandalize or destroy properties within the jurisdiction.
“The youths have been cooperating, they have never engaged in violence act, all their protest has been peaceful, ” he said.
He enjoined the youths to maintain peace and Godfearing attitude in the Division.
The DPO stated that there is a mutual working relationship between the community leaders, local vigilantes, and the Nigerian police, in ensuring peace and sanity in the neighborhood.
According to him, the working relationship became necessary in order for the relevant stakeholders to be each other brother’s keepers.
Adenola reiterated that he would not tolerate any land grabbers in the community because land grabber is never an occupation in the book of the law.
“Any land grabber causing community unrest will be arrested and will face the punishment,” he added.
