Noiseless Lagos Non-Negotiable – LASEPA

Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency, LASEPA, has reiterated its commitment to achieving a noise-free state.

General Manager of the Agency, Dr Dolapo Fasawe made this known on World Tolerance Day, as it takes it routine enforcement drive to Ogba.

Fasawe said that the mutual respect of views, culture and religion which the annual Tolerance Day symbolises across the world must be adhered to by all residents of the State especially religious organisations that are supposed to be symbols of ethical conduct, tolerance, brotherliness and Godly dispositions.

‘The State government recognizes the fact that the State thrives on the peaceful co-existence among practitioners of the major religions across the State, but of great concern to the State Government is the need for these religious activities to be conducted in a manner that our churches, mosques and the citizens of Lagos would not feel cheated in any way,” she said.

According to Fasawe, the illegal and unauthorized conversion of residential properties for religious use without recourse to the wellbeing of other residents and the state of the environment is of great concern to the present administration under the Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu.
