EKO HOT BLOG reports that Nollywood actor Junior Pope Odonwodo and his colleagues were attacked by armed robbers in Delta State, Nigeria.
In a video shared on his Instagram page, Junior Pope recounted the details of the harrowing incident that took place on Sunday, January 29, 2023.
The group was returning from a movie set when they were confronted by a roadblock made from tree stumps.

Upon slowing down, the actors noticed a group of men emerging from the bushes. Junior Pope tried to escape by reversing and ramming into another car, but the robbers caught up with them.
They were ordered out of the vehicle at gunpoint and told to lie flat on the road.
The robbers according to the report took everything they had, including phones, footwear, and production shoes. Despite some people recognizing the actors during the robbery, no one was able to stop and help.
In the caption of the video, Junior Pope expressed gratitude to God for his life and the lives of his colleagues.
He also expressed tears upon arriving home and seeing his family. Junior Pope urged others to pray for safety in their pursuit of daily bread.
The Nollywood community has expressed shock and concern at the events, and this serves as a reminder of the dangers that can arise when travelling in certain areas.
