Nollywood Actor Killed By Suspected Fulani Herdsmen

A Nollywood Yoruba actor, Juwon, was killed by a stray bullet from suspected Fulani herdsmen who attacked some motorists and vehicle along Ogbomosho Ilorin Expressway on Monday.

The incident that happened at Otte area of the expressway has left people doubting their safety in the country as reports claim that the herdsmen ran into the road shooting sporadically. Unfortunately, who was travelling along with other Nollywood actors, was hit.

The deceased was said to be a personal assistant to a popular Yoruba actress, Toyosi Adesanya who was also on the journey and was known for taking minor roles as well in Yoruba Nollywood movies

Aftermath of Juwon’s death, the actress called for the attention of the federal government on the security of lives.

”We can’t continue like to this. The poor boy’s life was just taken away like that. We can’t continue to be held to Ransom by some armed bandits. The FG should come to our aid”. She said

Kwara State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Ajayi Okasanmi said that the incident involved some actors and actresses going to shoot a film at a location, adding that investigation had commenced on the incident towards arresting the perpetrators.
