EKO HOT BLOG reports that during the discussion, which attracted significant attention on Saturday, Bassey explained that plumbing offers better financial rewards than many tech jobs, based on his personal experiences since moving abroad.

He emphasized the lucrative nature of the profession, noting, “I’m into construction here, I’m a plumber.

In the last seven months, the provinces I have visited on weekends just within Canada—someone in tech cannot afford what I was paid. I am not exaggerating; I know what I’m saying.”

Bassey, speaking in Pidgin English, shared insights into his work across Canada, mentioning the different places he has traveled for jobs over the past several months.

He further stressed that plumbing has been a more profitable career for him compared to other fields, including technology.

Bassey’s journey in the entertainment industry began as a scriptwriter in the early 2000s, with his first screenplay, Master of the Game, completed in 2004.

In 2012, after receiving encouragement from veteran actor Charles Inojie, he made the leap into acting. Since then, he has featured in numerous films, including Sin of a Woman (2013), School Trouble (2014), Love in a Valley (2022), and A Bet on Love.
