Nollywood Actress, Uche Ogbodo Taken To Cleaners After Defending Criminal Act

• Nigerian film actress, Uche Ogbodo has been dragged all over in the court  of public opinion.

• This is in response to her stance in a rape allegation labeled on Richland Osita.

• Osita had allegedly been threatens by a blackmailer of being accused with rape charges.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that Nollywood actress, Uche Ogbodo, has faced heavy criticism on social media after she defended a lady who threatened to falsely accuse a man of rape.

Richard Osita had taken to his Instastory to express disappointment with the Nigerian Police for not taking his petition against his blackmailer, Bella Nwoko, seriously. Osita had accused Nwoko of falsely accusing him of rape in 2021 after he called her out on social media.

In response to Osita’s petition, Ogbodo took to her Instagram page to criticize Osita for being vindictive and insistent on persecuting his former friend, despite her public apology.

According to Ogbodo, the lady only threatened to accuse the man of rape and did not carry it out, therefore Osita had no case against her. She further advised that people should stop pushing mean and wicked people to ruin the lives of others in the name of being right.

Ogbodo’s comment did not sit well with her colleagues and fans, who took to social media to criticize her. Nollywood actress, Mary Njoku, responded to Ogbodo’s comment, stating that false rape accusations can destroy someone’s life, career and reputation forever.

She further stated that the lady in question should face the consequences of her actions. Similarly, Daddy Freeze asked if Ogbodo would take the same stance if a woman was raped and seeking justice.

False rape accusations have become a controversial topic in Nigeria, with several cases being reported in recent times.

The issue has led to debates on the need for the punishment of those who falsely accuse others of rape, as such accusations can lead to the destruction of the lives and reputations of innocent people.
