Veteran Nollywood actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has criticized the activities in the movie industry, describing as one that lacks structure.
Omotola, during a recent chat with Rubbin Minds, stated that the Nollywood industry is made up of intelligent minds but the body is not organised.
The stunning mother of four said: “It is really hitting me, how disorganized my industry is and how much we have not done structurally. I know there are people who are very intelligent in this industry but somehow, we have not just coordinated ourselves. Individually, some of us are doing very well but as a body, we are not.

Speaking on why she now hardly takes up movie roles, the actress noted that she wouldn’t be a part of movies that won’t put her royalties in her contract.
Omotola said: “So I have decided to fall back. I am not doing movies for now because most times when I talk to producers, I tell them since I acted ‘Ije’ every movie I have acted had royalties in my contract.
“So if you are not going to put royalties in my contract, I am not going to do your movie. You don’t just pay me off and go.
“If I die tomorrow, let my children to have something to hold on to,” she said.
When asked if actors demanding royalties is sustainable in Nigeria’s entertainment industry. She expressed confidence that “It is very sustainable.”
Last year, the actress said the reason for her absence on the big screen was because many producers cannot afford her.
She made this known during a question and answer session with her fans.
“Most can’t afford me, some can’t afford what it takes to have me on set. It is a new terrain, all will balance out soon,” she said.
