Eko hot blog reports that In a shocking turn of events, the beloved Nigerian actor Amaechi Muonagor has reportedly passed away, leaving behind a legacy that touched the hearts of many.
Morris Monye, a prominent social media influencer and chairman of Delta State Sports Association, broke the devastating news on Sunday via his official X handle, expressing deep sorrow over the demise of Amaechi Muonagor.
“Deeply heartbroken by the news of Amaechi Muonagor’s passing, He was a talented Nollywood actor whose presence on our screens was truly masterful.
We watched with concern as he battled health issues, offering whatever support we could to help him seek treatment in India.
This tragic loss highlights the need for better healthcare in our country,” Monye lamented.
The late actor, aged 61, had recently appealed to the public for financial assistance in a distressing video, urgently seeking funds for a kidney transplant.
 His plea resonated across the nation, shedding light on the dire healthcare challenges faced by many Nigerians.
On November 27, 2023, Tony ‘Oneweek’ Muonagor, a relative of Amaechi Muonagor ,confirmed his battle with kidney disease, sparking an outpouring of support from fans and colleagues alike.
Throughout his illustrious career, Amaechi Muonagor graced the screens with his remarkable talent, starring in numerous acclaimed films, including the iconic “Aki and Paw Paw,” where he portrayed the father of two mischievous teenagers.

His versatility and captivating performances endeared him to audiences far and wide, earning him a special place in the hearts of Nollywood enthusiasts.
Sadly, Muonagor’s passing comes shortly after the loss of another Nollywood icon, Mr Ibu (John Okafor), who passed away on March 2, 2024.
As the Nigerian film industry mourns the departure of yet another legend, the void left by Amaechi Muonagor’s absence serves as a poignant reminder of his enduring impact on cinema and the lives he touched.
