EKO HOT BLOG reports that North Korea tests a “super-large” cruise missile warhead and a new anti-aircraft missile along its western coast amidst escalating tensions with the US and South Korea.
However, the missile administration conducted a robust trial for the Hwasal-1 Ra-3 strategic cruise missile’s warhead and test-launched the Pyoljji-1-2 anti-aircraft missile, achieving an unspecified objective, as reported by North Korean state media.
Photos released by the Korean Central News Agency depicted at least two missiles launched from launcher trucks on a runway.
Furthermore, this demonstration follows a similar one on February 2, suggesting technological advancements despite North Korea not specifying the missile names during the previous test.

Tensions have peaked on the Korean Peninsula, with Kim Jong Un intensifying weapons demonstrations, including unveiling more potent missiles targeting the US mainland and Pacific.

North Korea’s addition of cruise missiles presents a significant challenge to regional defense systems, complementing its existing ballistic missile capabilities reaching the US mainland.
Furthermore, analysts suggest North Korea could leverage its deepening military cooperation with Russia in anti-aircraft missile technology, aligning their interests amidst escalating confrontations with the US.
Allegations of North Korean support for Russia’s military endeavors in Ukraine underscore intricate geopolitical dynamics.
