NPFL: Ikorodu City Win First Game As Sunshine Stars Beat Rangers

Ikorodu City secured their first victory of the NPFL season with a commanding 3-0 win over Bendel Insurance at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Lagos, on Saturday.

Rivio Ayemwenre opened the scoring three minutes into the second half, converting a cross from Waliu Ojetoye.

Ikorodu City maintained pressure and doubled their lead in the 56th minute through Kelechi Onwe.

Toyeeb Ajeyigbe sealed the win with a third goal 14 minutes from time.

Meanwhile, defending champions Rangers suffered a 1-0 defeat to Sunshine Stars at the Otunba Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu Ode.

Stephen Chukwude’s 43rd-minute strike earned Sunshine Stars their third win of the season, moving them into fourth place.
