Musa had previously marked his return with a brace in their 2-0 victory over Sunshine Stars on October 6.
Kano Pillars dominated the first half, racing to a 4-0 lead. Veteran Rabiu Ali opened the scoring in the 15th minute, converting a penalty after a Rangers defender handled Musa’s cross in the box.
Zulkifilu Muhammed doubled the lead in the 28th minute, finishing off a Musa assist after the captain skillfully outpaced his marker down the flank.
Musa then added a third from the penalty spot, following a dazzling run where he beat four Rangers defenders.
Despite the heavy deficit, Rangers mounted an impressive fightback, with Isaac Saviour netting twice in quick succession (47th and 59th minutes).
Emmanuel Nenrot scored a late consolation goal in stoppage time, but Kano Pillars held on for the win.
