NSA Appointment: Fani-Kayode Slams Nuhu Ribadu's Critics
Eko Hot Blog reports that former aviation minister, Femi Fani-Kayode has blasted Nuhu Ribadu’s critics.
Recall that news broke out over the weekend that the former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) who is a retired police officer Nuhu Ribadu was picked by President Bola Tinubu for the position of National Security Adviser, (NSA).
The news of Ribadu’s possible appointment was first dropped by Sen. Shehu Sani via his verified Twitter handle early Sunday.
However, Fani-Kayode said in a tweet on Sunday said, “Those that say only a military man can handle the position of NSA are ignorant.
Amongst the best that held that position in our history were retired police and/or intelligence officers such as Umaru Shinkafi, Gambo Jimeta, and Ismaila Gwarzo.
I have no doubt that my brother Nuhu Ribadu, who is a retired police officer, once confirmed as NSA, will acquit himself well and follow in the footsteps of these three revered men.”
