The Anambra State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, has warned its personnel against indulging in job racketeering, employment and promotion scams.

Maku said that there was need for discipline, professionalism, excellence and exceptional operational performance among personnel serving in the state.
“This warning is in compliance with a directive from the Commandant-General, who emphasised the need for enhanced discipline and operational excellence, among officers.
“Do not participate in illicit activities, such as job racketeering, employment and promotion scams, as offenders will face dismissal.
“As officers, you need to maintain a professional image through proper dress code, attitude and behaviour, especially during official working hours.
“I’m also urging individuals, who falsify their records, author anonymous petitions against the corps or refuse transfers to have a rethink because these are considered serious offences.
”Rather than resist transfers, it should be seen as an opportunity for career growth and development,” the commandant said.

He also reminded officers of their core responsibilities, including crisis management, safeguarding critical national assets and infrastructure as well as eschewing unhealthy competition with sister security agencies.
