NSCDC Parades Six Suspected Oil Thieves In Lagos

EDITOR’S PICK: 

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Lagos State has paraded six suspected oil thieves arrested from an illegal site on No 5, Abayomi Estate,  Olusosun Bus Stop, in the Oregun axis of the state.

The suspects – Babatunde Adedayo (35); John Eric (35); Jude Uwosa (51); Sodiq Olawale (27); Neat John (f, 20yrs), and Isaac Anita (f, 32yrs) – were arrested by the Anti-Vandal unit on Thursday while trying to load a 40,000-litre truck with suspected adulterated AGO, also known as diesel.

A truck (FS7737XF), two pumping machines as well as drums (filled and empty) were also recovered from the site.

A statement by the spokesperson, Seun Abolurin, said the State Commandant, Eweka Edenabu Okoro, has directed that the suspects be brought for interrogation and investigation in the Intelligence and Investigation (INT) Department, at the State Command Headquarters in Alausa, Ikeja.

The Anti-Vandal Unit has also been directed to take full charge of the bunkering site to forestall any further untoward activity
