Hoodlums Attack, Stab NSCDC Spokesman In Niger State
A spokesperson for the Niger State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), DSC Ibrahim Rabiu Muti, narrowly escaped death after being attacked by suspected criminals in the Gbeganu area of Minna on Friday evening.
The incident occurred around 8 PM as Muti was returning home from work on a tricycle.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that according to reports, two individuals emerged from a nearby bush and flagged down the tricycle, pretending to be passengers. However, upon boarding the vehicle, they revealed their true intentions and attacked Muti with a barrage of weapons, including knives, cutlasses, daggers, and sticks.
The assailants inflicted two deep stab wounds on Muti’s abdomen and proceeded to rob him of his phone and other personal belongings. However, a twist of fate intervened when one of the attackers noticed Muti’s NSCDC uniform trousers.
Realizing the potential danger of attacking a security officer, the assailants abruptly abandoned the attack and fled the scene.
Muti, who sustained critical injuries, was rushed to a nearby hospital for emergency medical attention. After receiving timely medical care, he has since been discharged and is currently recuperating at home.
The Niger State Police Command has confirmed the incident and launched an investigation to apprehend the perpetrators.
The attack on a security officer has raised concerns about the rising insecurity in the state and the need for increased security measures to protect law enforcement personnel.
