One of the best times investors in the stock market enjoy the most is the earnings season, especially for half year and full year.
This is because some companies use the period to reward their shareholders through the payment of interim and final dividends.
The interim dividends usually come at half-year, mostly in July when the results are released, while the final cash reward comes mostly before the end of first quarter of the new financial year, when the earnings are expected to be released to the stock exchange.
For the financial year ended December 31, 2019, some firms have already proposed payment of dividends, which should be approved at their Annual General Meetings (AGMs).
Below is a compiled list by businesses post of 15 organisations quoted on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) that have so far announced payment of various dividends.
The list is presented in the image below with the date declared, the amount, qualification date, closure of register date and the payment date.
We promise to regularly update the list as more companies announce their dividends.
