NUT Ibeju-Lekki Branch Visits LG Chairman, Hon. Olowa, Ahead of World Teachers’ Day Celebration

Ekohotblog reports that Officials of the Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT), Ibeju-Lekki branch, paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, at his office today.

The visit was aimed at commending the Chairman for his continuous support towards educational development and to formally inform him of the upcoming World Teachers’ Day celebration, slated for October 5, 2024.

 

During the meeting, NUT Chairman, Mr. Adewale Adesanya, expressed profound gratitude to Hon. Olowa for his  commitment to education, which has positively impacted the teachers and students in Ibeju-Lekki.

 

He praised the Chairman’s administration for its role in providing educational resources, improving infrastructure, and prioritizing the welfare of teachers.“We are here to acknowledge your excellent support in creating a better learning environment for both teachers and students.

 

“Your dedication has contributed significantly to advancing education in this local government.We would also like to take this opportunity to extend a formal invitation to you for our upcoming World Teachers’ Day event,” said Mr. Adewale Adesanya.

 

The NUT Chairman emphasized the significance of World Teachers’ Day, describing it as a time to celebrate the invaluable contributions of teachers to the society and to recognize their dedication to nurturing young minds.

 

In his response, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa expressed appreciation for the recognition and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting the education sector in Ibeju-Lekki.

 

He emphasized that the local government will continue to work closely with the teaching community to further enhance the standard of education and provide an enabling environment for learning.
