Ekohotblog reports that the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Imota Local Branch, spearheaded by Comrade Adebogun Oriyomi, has stepped up its peacebuilding initiatives on the second day of the national protest.
The branch’s strategy included engaging with critical state government facilities, such as the Lagos State Rice Mill and Fire Station, to ensure the preservation of peace and order.
This proactive measure aimed to prevent disruptions and reinforce the community’s confidence in the Council’s dedication to maintaining a peaceful protest environment.
Moreover, the NYCN Imota Local Branch took the opportunity to advance its *NYCNi-Shuttle Intervention Program*. This program involved active collaboration with local youth associations and organizations, emphasizing the Council’s role as a unifying force among the youth.
The Council’s efforts received strong backing from *Hon. (Prince) Wasiu Kunle Agoro*, the Executive Chairman of Imota LCDA, whose support has been crucial in creating a favorable atmosphere for these peacebuilding activities.
The National Youth Council of Nigeria Imota Local Branch remains committed to fostering peace and advancing youth development within the LCDA.
