OAU Fresh Student Launches Book On Parenting

• A fresh student of OAU has launched a book on parenting.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that Shittu Misturah Ajoke, a part one fresh student of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile Ife, from department of Agricultural extension, Faculty of Agriculture has launched a book on parenting.

While speaking with our correspondent on Saturday, she explained that the book was published to reduce and eradicate the adversity of bad parenting.

She said: “One of the things that are important to remember is that parenting is a problematic full-time job. Parenting is stressful, so many parents need to be orientated and lectured on how to become better parents because bad parenting has caused more harm and damages than ever. It has also become the mother of immorality in our society.

“Don’t parent your child as though if you did not give birth to them, no one else will do. Don’t parent your child as though you’re doing them a favor. Parent them like they are assets.

“This book promises to be in its simplest form of understanding as its mission is to reduce the damages and wrongs bad parenting has been causing across the globe.
