Oba Kamorudeen Animashaun, Oloja of Epeland, has on Sunday, officially declared Epe International Annual Trade Fair open.
Animashaun who was represented by High Chief Dada Yesiru, the Agbon of Epeland, said that the event was the first of its kind in the ancient community and it’s is a laudable idea.
“Kabiyesi is a father of all, most especially to the youths and ready to support any community developmental initiative.
“Anybody that wants progress for Epe Division shall experience progress in all his endeavors.
“This and many more are the kinds of development we harps for in Epe Division. We all shall live to experience Epe of our dream, ” he said.
Also, Chief Ologunlado Wasiu, Baba-Alaje of Oluwo Chief Market, said that the Epe community has been lagging behind in infrastructure development compared to other Divisional areas.
“Therefore, we need ideas like this, we should all embrace and appreciate this development coming into our community.
“May God bless our youths and organisers of this event and the people who have been contributing in no small measure to the development of the community, ” he said.
Mrs Folashade Ojikutu, the Iya-Oloja of chief market, said that the fair would boost the commercial activities in the community.

“We have been looking for such an opportunity where traders will have a platform to showcase their goods and services to the larger populace.
“This is indeed a welcoming idea, It will boos trading activities in the community and also increase the revenues of traders, ” she said.
Earlier, Mr. Idris Tele-Olukoya, Coordinator, Concerned Nation Builders Initiative (CNI), the organizer of the International Annual Trade Fair, said that the purpose of the fair was to draw development closer to our people in the Division.
He said that the Division lack some essentials needed for development but the government cannot don’t alone, It requires our collective efforts and support.
“Public-Private Partnership should come to play for the development of the ancient community.
“The government should be opened for the public, private partnership to develop the community, ” he said.
Tele-Olukoya said that the fair would serve as a platform for the people of the community to buy and sell for Christmas.
“This will also boost the commercial activities in the Division and increase merchant internal generated revenue, ” he said.
