Oba Of Lagos Refutes Report Of Testing Positive For COVID-19

The Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Aremu Akiolu, The 1st has debunked reports he is battling with the virulent COVID-19 infection.

A report that went viral on Thursday had claimed that the first-class Monarch had tested positive to the dreadful disease.

The report created an atmosphere of uncertainty over the health conditions of the Monarch as many Lagosians fear the worst might happen considering the fact that COVID-19 is ruthless with older generations, which the amiable Monarch falls into.

But in an exclusive interview with EkoHotBlog, the monarch son, prince Kayode Akiolu, outrightly refuted the report, saying the king is hale and hearty.

Kayode, a member of House of Representatives, added that the king was not down with any illness, let alone COVID-19.

He described the story as reckless and irresponsible, saying the report was a figment of the imagination of the King’s traducers.

He noted that the king was in his palace carrying his Monarchical obligations and contributing to issues that are germane to the development of his enclave and that of Lagos.

Kayode however, called on Lagosians to be vigilant and take precautions against COVID-19; he implored them to comply with the health advisories of front-line workers and other medical practitioners.
