Oba Ogunlaja Urges Journalists To Be Factual And Objective

The Aladeshoyin of Odo Noforija Kingdom, Epe, Lagos State, HRM Oba Babatunde Ogunlaja (JP) has urged all journalists in Epe Division to be factual and objective in reporting happenings within the division. He urged all journalists in the division to make sure they report only what they know and see at a time.

Eko Hot Blog has learned that he disclosed this when he received the members of the League of Journalists (LJE), Epe Division in his Palace.

The monarch who commended the journalists for doing a good job as the watchdogs of the society advised that any news must be thoroughly investigated before getting to the public.

He, therefore, urged the journalists LJE to extend their hands of fellowships to other traditional rulers in the division.

Earlier, the Adviser II of the league and who is also Epe Divisional Information Officer, Mr. Dosunmu Kazeem had explained to the monarch the purpose of the visit to journalists which was mainly to establish a cordial and efficient working relationship with the traditional institution.

President of the association, who is the Publisher of Epe News, Mr. Temitope Lasisi, and the League’s General Secretary, the Publisher of Trixx News Epe, Mr. Waleola Kolawole presented the letter of appointment to the monarch, in which it was clearly stated that his choice for that honor was based on his genuine love for peace, harmony, and humanity in Epe Division.

Other members of the league who were present at the journalist’s enlightenment meeting include; Mr. Jimoh Kazeem and Ms. Ngam Jane.
