Oba Wahab Balogun of Isheri Olofin dies at 94

EKOHOTBLOG reports that highly rated Oba Wahab Ayinde Balogun, the paramount ruler of Isheri Olofin died on Tuesday at age 94.
The Awori monarch spent 37 years on the throne. In June 2019, he celebrated his 35 years on the throne, where he was interviewed by newsmen if he ever had it in mind to become a king, Oba Balogun said that it never crossed his mind, though his parents were telling him when he was young that he had an omen to be great. He, however, declared that there was a declaration and in 1983, his coronation was announced and in 1984, he was installed.

Oba Balogun was once the Chairman, Alimosho Council of Obas, where he discharged his duty diligently as an overseer over his subjects, creditably despite challenges encountered.
Isheri Olofin is a community in Alimosho, situated nearby Cardoso, and west of Idimu.
