EKO HOT BLOG reports that Habeeb Ademola Uthman, popularly known as Obama DMW, was a popular Nigerian entertainment, executive and artiste manager. He was the founder/CEO of Obama Music Worldwide (OMW), a label that manages talented artists like Ayanfe. He is affiliated with DMW music and is also a part of the 30 Billion Gang.

Obama DMW Early Life and Education

UTHMAN Habeeb Ademola was born to the family of Alhaji and Alhaja S.B.A Uthman on the 30th of January 1982 at Ayegbami hospital Isolo, Lagos State.

Habeeb Uthman obtained his first leaving certificate from Gideon International School, Okota Isolo Lagos state, and his senior secondary certificate education( SSCE) from Epe Grammar School, Epe, Lagos State.

He had a diploma in Social Work and Communication at Lagos state university( LASU) before moving to Canada in 2006 to pursue his career in Music which he loved to do most.

Obama DMW Career

Habeeb joined Music entertainment called Afrobeats in Vancouver, Canada to gain what he loved doing and later created his own music label company called Obama BMW Music entertainment, with the support of David Adedeji Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, a Nigerian singer, songwriter and record producer(DMW)
He loved to promote peace and harmony. He was open-minded, had child-like humour, quick to forgive and brought out the best in others.

Habeeb Uthman started managing upcoming artists while still in the higher institution. He, in fact, was already organising music shows as an undergraduate.

When he returned back to Nigeria, after his degree in Canada, he co-founded a recorded label called ‘Holla At Your Boy’ with his friend. Unfortunately for Uthman, his partner died and the label had to fold up.

A few years later, Habeeb Uthman decided to launch another record label and named it Obama Music Worldwide (OMW). Ayanfe is currently signed to the label.

Over the years, Obama DMW has grown to be one of Davido‘s key men and a high-ranking member of the 30 Billion Gang. Some other members of the 30 BG gang include; Davido, Sir Banko, Asa Asika, Chairman HKN, King Spesh, Mayorkun, Dremo, Yonda, and DJ E-Cool, amongst others.

In 2020, Obama DMW signed upcoming singer, Ayanfe to his record label. He has helped groom Ayanfe into a better musician and the latter is one of the fast-rising artists in the country at the moment.

Ayanfe is the brain behind the hit singles, Focus and Ori Mi, which trended on local music charts for several months.

As a music executive and talent manager, Obama DMW was passionate about raising upcoming African artists and promoting their music on the global stage.

Obama DMW Personal Life

Obama DMW was one of the most eligible bachelors in Nigeria at the moment, he was not married and has flaunted no girlfriend. This was because he was a very successful and handsome man.

He resided in a beautiful apartment in Lekki, Lagos and owned a number of exotic rides. He toured several countries due to his role in the entertainment business.

He strongly loved his community Epe, Lagos. He always stood for peace and unity in the community, especially among the youths.

He was a close associate of Davido, B-Red, Asa Asika, Special Spesh, Sina Rambo, Peruzzi, Dremo, Mayorkun, Yonda and Yes Liya.

Unknown to some, Davido’s aide had a lookalike grown son and it was gathered that they had just started to rekindle their father-son relationship.

The young man is said to be a 300-level student of Adeleke University, studying engineering.

His son’s Instagram handle is (@manlikeabdul_omw!).

It’s great to know that he was recognized by the Ghanaians who awarded him peacemaker of the year 2019.

Obama BMW Controversy

Obama annoyed a lot of Wizkid fans when he took to Instagram shortly after Wizkid released his third album to state that Wizkid’s Made In Lagos album was wack and that his artist, Ayanfe’s songs are better.

He got trolled by lots of Wizkid fans for his comment.

Obama DMW was rumoured to have been in a romantic relationship with award-winning Nigerian singer and songwriter, Tiwa Savage.

There was a widespread rumour that he got Tiwa Savage pregnant and she later had a miscarriage.

Obama DMW net worth was put at $100,000-$800,000.

Obama BMW Death

Uthman Habeeb Ademola passed on the 29th of June 2021. He is survived by his mother, siblings, children and loved ones.

The media space was left heartbroken on the 29th of June, 2021 as the news broke out that Obama DMW is dead. The cause of his death has been linked to suspected heart failure.

On the day he died, Obama drove himself to Ever Care Hospital in Lekki to complain of breathing difficulties.

He was admitted to the hospital and unfortunately died a few hours later.

According to Perruzi, Obama DMW did not die a natural death. He narrated how he was in the studios with Obama eating rice together and spending time with Davido.

Perruzi stated that Obama DMW left the studio around 2 am and he heard the bad news that he was dead the next morning because he could not breathe.

The view of that, Perruzi vowed to give up smoking and drinking hard liquor because he believes that killed the young man.
