Obasanjo’s Fickle Allegiance On Display As He Confers With Another Political Party Weeks After Endorsing Obi

EKO HOT BLOG reports that former President of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, recently hosted a meeting with top leaders of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Chief Obasanjo hosted a 20-man delegation of the ADC at his Abeokuta residence in Ogun State.

Sharing details of their discussion, a former ADC presidential aspirant, Chukwuka Monye, said they visited Obasanjo to consult with him and, among others, seek his guidance in the nation’s best interest ahead of the 2023 general elections.

Some chieftains of the ADC who were part of the delegation on the visit to the elder statesman included the Chairman of the party’s Board of Trustees, Dr Mani Ibrahim Ahmad; the party’s National Chairman, Ralph Nwosu; National Secretary, Said Abdullahi; Director of Communications and Programs, Ifenla Oligbinde and other party leaders.

According to Monye, they discussed ways to achieve a new Nigeria and make strategic contributions.

“We are in interesting times and such times require careful navigation,” he added.

The ADC chieftains, during the meeting, spoke on their party’s commitment to contributing strategically towards having a positive outcome in the general elections.

On his part, Chief Obasanjo promised to continue to support the party’s efforts toward making Nigeria a better nation.
