EKO HOT BLOG reports that on Wednesday, Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State swore in Musa Ikhilor as Secretary to the State Government, just a day after assuming office.
Naija News reports that Okpebholo also inaugurated Barr. Samson Osagie as the State’s Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice.
Okpebholo announced Ikhilor and Osagie’s nominations shortly after his own swearing-in on Tuesday. Within 24 hours, the Edo State House of Assembly had screened and confirmed Osagie.
During the swearing-in ceremony, Governor Okpebholo emphasized the importance of prioritizing the people’s needs, saying, “I was elected to serve, and everyone must be prepared to work. I selected these appointees for their integrity, and I encourage you to collaborate with them to bring out the best in us.”
He added, “Throughout my campaign, I promised to work with the best, and these appointments reflect that commitment. Our best is yet to come.”
