Obi Cubana Shuts Down Club Over Clubber’s Death

EKO HOT BLOG reports that nightclub owner and businessman, Obinna Iyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana, has shut down his Abuja club, Hustle & Bustle, over the death of one of his clients.

The Anambra-born club owner made this known in an Instagram post on Monday.

It was gathered that the clubber died over the weekend but circumstances surrounding the death still remain vague.

An Instagram statement posted simultaneously via Obi Cubana and his club, Hustle & Bustle’s accountss, read: “We are closed till further notice. This is due to the loss of our esteemed client.

“We are deeply saddened by this situation and need time to heal from it. Our prayers are with the families of the lost soul. May her soul Rest In Peace. We sympathise with the family on this unbearable loss.

“Kindly bear with us as we pass through this storm.”

The wealthy socialite was recently detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over alleged money laundering and tax fraud.

Cubana became a social media sensation and the rave of the moment in July after the ‘naira rain’ at the burial of his mother in Oba, a town in the Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State.
