Popular musician and activist, Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, says peaceful protest remains the right of citizens.
The musician, who is the convener of the #OurMumuDonDo movement, made this known via Twitter on Saturday.
“I know these animals have turned Nigeria into a Jungle. But peaceful protest is still our human right. Animals can’t dash us human right. Say no to #lekkitollgate reopening,” he wrote.

Eko Hot Blog had reported that popular online comedian, Debo Adebayo, mostly known as Mr. Macaroni was arrested at the Lekki Tollgate on Saturday morning after himself and several others refused to leave despite warnings from the police that they are not wanted there.
The Lagos State Judicial Panel of Inquiry probing allegations of human rights violations by the defunct SARS unit had granted the Lekki Concession Company permission to reopen the Tollgate after a forensic team submitted its report to the panel.
