Segun Odegbami has praised Victor Osimhen after the Galatasaray forward matched his goal record for the Super Eagles.
Osimhen reached Odegbami’s tally of 23 goals by scoring in the Super Eagles’ 1-1 draw against the Cheetahs of Benin Republic on Thursday night.

The two now share the position of joint-second all-time leading scorers for the three-time African champions.
“It’s a good thing (that he has equaled my record),” Odegbami said on Eagle7fm.
“This shows we now have players who can deliver the goals for the national team.”
Osimhen will look to move ahead of Odegbami when the Super Eagles host the Amavubi of Rwanda at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Monday.
