Odo Ayandelu Kingdom Gears Up for Annual Eribi Festival

- The annual Eribi Festival in Odo Ayandelu Kingdom is set to take place on Sunday, April 20
- Balogun Eleluku of Odo Ayandelu announced that there will be a restriction on movement from 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 19, 2025, to 6:00 a.m. the next day.

Excitement is building as preparations are well underway for the annual Eribi Festival in Odo Ayandelu Kingdom, an esteemed celebration of cultural heritage, unity, and spiritual significance in the heart of Lagos State, Eko Hot Blog reports.
The festival, held under the guidance of His Royal Majesty Oba Asunmo Ganiu Aderibigbe, the Paramount Ruler of Odo Ayandelu Kingdom, is set to take place on Sunday, April 20, with significant traditional rites occurring the night before.

The 2025 edition of the Eribi Festival is anticipated to showcase the ancient town’s rich cultural legacy, emphasizing its deep-rooted traditions and communal identity.
In keeping with custom, Balogun Eleluku of Odo Ayandelu, Chief Olusoga Afeez Afolorunsho, announced that there will be a restriction on movement from 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 19, 2025, to 6:00 a.m. the next day.
This restriction will allow for the peaceful and respectful observance of sacred rites integral to the festival’s traditions.
Chief Afolorunsho of Odo Ayandelu Kingdom extended warm greetings to various stakeholders for their valuable contributions to the event.
Chiefs and traditional title holders, including Olumale Eluku, Jagun Eluku, Iware Eluku, Okirikiri Eluku, Alase Agba Eluku, and Olisa of Ayandelu, as well as the Iyalode of Ayandelu and other female chiefs, were recognized for their continued efforts in upholding the cultural legacy of the kingdom.
Neighboring royal fathers, such as Oba Aladeshonyin of Odo-Noforija, Oba of Ota-Ikosi, Oba of Agbowa, and Oba Gbadamosi of Araromi Oguntimehin Kingdom, were also appreciated for their support and cooperation.
Additionally, Baales from nearby communities, like Baale Ade-Osho, Baale Ateere, Baale Lago, Baale Etunrenren, Baale Owode, Baale Agbangba, and Baale Iganke, were acknowledged for their involvement in the festival.
Special recognition was given to the Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, Hon. Wale Raji Alomo, for his leadership and support.
