Office Of Public Defender To Commence 16-Day Campaign On Violence Against Women

In a bid to continue helping disadvantaged groups like women and children, Office of the Public Defender, (OPD) in partnership with the Lagos State Government will kick off International Day of Elimination Of Violence Against Women with a 16- day activitism against Gender Based Violence.
Ekohotblog understands that the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women is celebrated every 25th of November and this will herald the 16 days activism against Gender Based Violence which ends on the Human Rights Day, 10th December, 2019.

This year’s theme tagged “Orange The World: Generation Equality Stands Against Rape will include a walk awareness which will kick start from National Stadium, Surulere and end in Ojuelegba Bus-stop on the 5th of December, 2019 at 9am.
The Director, Mrs Adeyinka Adenrera in a chat with ekohotblog.com said that the awareness is to evaluate women’s fight on domestic violence.
Mrs Adeyinka urged everyone to be present at the occasion.
