Office Of The Public Defender Celebrates International Women’s Day

Today, the 8th Day of March 2020, OPD, celebrates the International Women’s Day.

This year’s theme is: I Am Generation Equality: Realizing Women’s Rights. All stakeholders are being called upon to actively challenge stereotypes, fight bias, broaden perception, improve the situation and celebrate women’s achievements.

We at OPD acknowledge Women’s contributions to life, society, family and work.

We salute their strength, resilience and sacrifice.

We encourage them to be undaunted, unmoved, unshakeable, achieving, building, creating, developing, expanding and embracing, focused, pushing beyond barriers, changing narratives and standing strong.

We assure them that Lagos State will continue to uphold their rights through OPD and attain their potentials.

Let all join hands together, to impact positively on the society, creating a gender-equal world, where every woman can excel, without fear or favour.

We are Generation Equality: Realizing Women’s Rights.
