EkoHotBlog reports that the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ogun State Command has decorated 155 newly promoted officers into various ranks.
The Ogun State commandant, Idowu Ojelabi, decorated the officers in Abeokuta, the state capital.
He commended the NSCDC Commandant-General, Ahmed Abubakar Audi, for the prompt nationwide promotion of officers, particularly those who’ve been stagnant for some time.
Ojelabi stated, “For instance, in Ogun State Command, we graciously have a total of 155 personnel that were elevated from one rank to another, including those who have been stagnant for a while.”
He mentioned that, through a credible screening and examination process, the NSCDC boss has revitalised the corps’ promotion process.
Ojelabi said the NSCDC boss did his best to assuage the long-time suffering of stagnant officers by rejuvenating the promotion process and conducting credible screening and examinations.
The state commandant charged the newly promoted senior officers in the state to live up to the tasks ahead of them and ensure the protection of the people.
“You should ensure you work professionally to further cement the positive perception already enjoyed by the Corps in the Gateway State,” he charged.
