Ogun To Commence Town Hall Meetings On 2020 Budget

Ogun State Government has announced that it will this week commence the Town Hall Meetings across the three Senatorial Districts of the State towards obtaining the inputs of relevant stakeholders in preparation for the year 2020 Budget.

The Permanent Secretary of the State’s Ministry of Budget and Planning, Hassan Adekunle, in a statement said the meeting for Ogun West Senatorial District will hold on Tuesday, October 8, 2019, at Yewa Frontier Hotel and Resort, Ilaro.

He added that, that of Ogun East will take place on Thursday, October 10, 2019, at Conference Hotel, GRA, Ijebu-Ode, while the date for the meeting at Ogun Central is October 15, 2019.

Adekunle said the annual events which are to be presided over by the State Governor, Dapo Abiodun are aimed at sensitizing the public on the 2020 budget.

He noted that all officers from the post of Assistant Director and above in the Public Service of Ogun State, representatives of different interest groups across the state including traditional, religious and political leaders, trade and market Associations, professional bodies, Civil Society Groups, Student Unions among others are invited to the meetings.

He added that all participants are expected to be seated by 9:30am.
