Honourable (Otunba) Babatunde Ogunola, a prominent APC chieftain and former House of Representatives member for Ado-Odo/Ota Federal Constituency in Ogun State, has donated a multi-million naira 500KVA transformer to the Ifelajulo Central and Ifelajulo West Community Development Associations (CDAs) in Ijoko Ward.
This generous contribution aims to resolve the persistent electricity challenges faced by the communities and will be officially commissioned this Saturday.
Mr. Hassan Kehinde Olatunde, Chairman of the Ifelagba Axis of the Ifelajulo CDA, confirmed the donation, explaining that the new transformer will serve 11 communities, effectively addressing their long-standing power shortages.
The benefiting communities include Ifelagba Central, Ifelagba South, Ifelagba East, Ifelagba West, Ifegbewa Central, Ifegbewa South, Ifegbewa North, Ifegbewa East, Ifegbewa West, Ifelajulo Central, and Ifelajulo West.
Olatunde expressed his profound gratitude to Honourable Ogunola, calling him a “God-sent” leader whose donation will bring much-needed relief to the communities.
He noted that the gesture would not only end the darkness but also improve the health, businesses, and security of residents who have long suffered due to unreliable power supply.
Olatunde also urged other political leaders to follow Ogunola’s example and invest in the development of their communities. He called on Ogunola to continue his good works and remain committed to the people’s well-being.
In his remarks, Honourable Ogunola explained that the donation is part of his ongoing efforts to enhance the lives of the people in Ogun State and support the progress of the APC government. He emphasized the importance of collective efforts in driving the state’s development, noting that the success of government projects relies on the support of all citizens.
“The government cannot do it alone,” Ogunola said. “Those of us who are privileged must always support the government in its tasks to ensure the success of Ogun State.”
