Ohanaeze Advise Osinbajo To Resign, Queries Buhari For Failling To Transmit Power As He Embarks On Private Trip To London

The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide, has advised the Vice President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo to resign his office.

The group made the call forlowwing the alleged rift between the osinbajo and Buhari that has led to the sacking of the aides to the Vice President.

Ohanaeze also queried the president’s action not to transmit power to his vice president before embarking on his private visit to London.

The group alleged that Buhari was afraid of his vice president surpassing his performance while he was away, adding that, last year when Buhari transmitted power to his vice, osinbajo had performed credibly well than his boss.

Ohanaeze disclosed this in a statement jointly signed by the group’s President General Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, and the Secretary General Mazi Okwu Nnabuike.

The group applaud Osinbajo’s proven records but however, stressed that the vice president might not succeed Buhari in 2023.

The statement reads in part “VP Yemi Osibanjo is a good man but unlikely to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023, unlike President Goodluck Jonathan, where Jonathan emerged as President after Yaradua.

“This act would unlikely not repeat itself as President Muhammadu Buhari is destined to hand over to the South but not definitely VP Osibanjo, because of the fear that Osibanjo would implement the 2014 Constitutional Conference report and policies that will dwarf Buhari’s main agenda.

“VP Osibanjo should listen to the wisdom of his people, Afenifere and respectfully resign as Vice President and concentrate on his pastoral evangelism which is bigger than Vice President of Nigeria.”
